There’s no surrender in the Dodgers, who rallied from a five-run deficit last night to beat the Mets and their all-world relief pitcher Edwin Diaz.
Like Springsteen and the E Street Band in their heyday, the Dodgers have been hitting on all cylinders for nearly a decade now. The entire organization operates on an incredibly high level.
What a wonderful time to be a Dodger fan! Never take this for granted — it’s very hard to win major-league baseball games.
I especially enjoyed Ken Gurnick’s opening paragraph in the MLB.com game story:
LOS ANGELES — Down by five runs after the seventh-inning stretch, a lot of teams start thinking about tomorrow. But the Dodgers aren’t like a lot of teams.
