Took Maisa trick or treating last night in the neighborhood. A neighbor boy was younger and slower than Maisa, but she was nice and waited for him all along the route. I was proud of her for being a good friend. 🙂

I love it when I kind of forget about a great song, then hear it again and remember how good it is.
Maisa, meanwhile, enjoyed hearing this yesterday for the first time.
Nice win on opening night against the Clips. The bench players scored 76 points, most by Laker reserves since 1988. Wow!
Jill keeps a calendar on our fridge with our work and daycare schedules listed. Next to each day are the words “Jill,” “James” and “daycare.”
So yesterday Maisa, who is trying to read every word she sees these days, looks at the calendar and says: “Jill, James, Dodgers.”
I quickly corrected her — “It’s daycare.”
Then Jill and I looked at each other and laughed — not at Maisa, though. The joke was on me.
“It would probably make sense to put the Dodgers’ schedule on that calendar,” Jill joked, poking fun at my obsession with the boys in blue.
“Yeah, that is a good idea,” I said with a chuckle.
This has been a splendid World Series to watch. Every game has offered drama and intrigue.
It’s great to see Boston’s David Ortiz having a wonderful World Series. Dad was a big fan of Big Papi — and I am, too. Mom and Big D are Papi fans, as well. He’s a Kramer family favorite.
The first postseason game ever to end on a pickoff … and it’s the Cardinals who make the bone-headed play.
Not exactly “The Cardinal Way.” Ha ha ha ha! I love it!
The fact that Jake Peavy plays for Boston makes it a little easier to stomach the fact that St. Louis is going to win this World Series.
Peavy is something like 7-1 against my Dodgers in his career, with an ERA of about 1.00.
He just owns the Bums. And he’s a cocky hothead, too. I’ve never liked him.
Peavy was the starting pitcher in this game below. The Dodgers won that one, though. 😉
