Maisa went trick or treating last night in Ankeny. We went all the way around our block and harvested a big sack of goodies.
Or, in Maisa’s words: “We went everywhere and everyone ate the candy, except they didn’t eat the candy all gone.” (She asked me to type that)
Then it was off to a couple friends’ houses here in Ankeny to grab some of the candy they were handing out. Then we had a late dinner at The Leaning Tower of Pizza, one of our favorite restaurants here in town.
I thoroughly enjoyed watching the new-look Lakers during the first half of their season opener last night. Their offense was crisp and baskets came easy.
Apparently I did the smart thing by turning off the TV at halftime (I was sleepy). Dallas won 99-91. Grrrrrr.
I’m excited about George Strait’s new song. I think it’s one of the best singles he’s made in the last few years. Enjoy.
