The Dodgers acquired all-star Hanley Ramirez from Miami on Wednesday, and his acquisition paid immediate dividends.
Ramirez had two hits and a walk, drove in a run and scored another in the Dodgers’ 3-2, 12-inning loss at St. Louis.
It’s a great trade for the Bums. Hopefully today we’ll get our first victory of the Hanley Era. (First pitch is 12:45 p.m. at St. Humid.)
The last time the Dodgers acquired a Ramirez at the trade deadline (Manny, 2008), they ended up winning two consecutive NL West championships.
