Clayton Kershaw improved to 20-5 and the Dodgers beat the Giants last night, moving a game over .500.
These last two months of Dodger baseball have been downright inspirational. I can’t believe how proud I am of this team that has come back from the dead to post a winning record with nine games to play.
Kershaw has now defeated Tim Lincecum in their last four head-to-head matchups. If Kershaw isn’t the NL Cy Young Award winner, then I just don’t understand baseball.
No. 1 in strikeouts.
No. 1 in innings pitched.
No. 1 in ERA.
No. 1 in victories.
And HE PITCHES FOR THE DODGERS, who spent the majority of the season playing awful, awful baseball. Kershaw has 20 of the Dodgers’ 77 wins, an astounding statistic.
