A real tear-jerker

30 Aug

Ted Kennedy Jr.’s eulogy for his father was unbelievably poignant.

Whether you’re a Democrat or a Republican, Catholic or Protestant, Irish or German, you should hear Ted Jr.’s speech. Click here if you’d like to watch and listen to the speech (it’s at the 4-minute mark, approximately).

Junior told the story of how, after bone cancer took part of his leg as a 12-year-old, his father helped him climb the hill and go sledding. It was really, really touching. A tear-jerker if there ever was one.

I was literally choking up for about an hour after hearing the story. It really hit home for me, maybe because I’m a father now.
