So I read in today’s Register that Des Moines will see some snow this week. Can we just be done with that crap already?
Pitchers and catchers reported weeks ago, and spring training games start today. I think there should be a federal law banning snow in the U.S. once spring training games begin.
I’m ready to spend some time in our three-seasons room. So warm up already!

Frankly, I don’t want him risking injury in meaningless games at Glendale. I’d be perfectly happy seeing him sign with the Bums on March 20. It’s the uncertainty of WHO he’ll sign with that makes me uneasy.
The Lake Show mostly dominated Oklahoma City last night. The Thunder made it interesting for a brief period in the second half, but what would an NBA game be if the losing team didn’t put together a big run at some point?
Los Angeles continues to have the best record in the NBA. Home-court advantage is critical for the playoffs, so let’s hope Kobe and Co. FINISH with the league’s best mark.
Maisa returned to daycare yesterday. It was good to get her back in that routine a little bit. It’s good for her to be around other kids and adults once in a while.
Jill’s back pain continues to be a problem — especially during the night. It’s not as bad during the day, thank goodness.
Gramma and Grampa B. are returning today to stay with us for a few days. Clarence is going to help me with a project or two while he’s here.
