Never thought I’d say this, but Lamar Odom is saving the Lakers’ season.
Since Andrew Bynum went down with a knee injury a few weeks ago, Odom has moved into the starting lineup and played superbly.
Odom has averaged about 15 rebounds per game over the last 6 or 7 games. He’s also scoring more than he normally does.
Sunday at Minnesota, Odom was the reason the Lakers escaped with a victory. 25 points, 14 rebounds and a huge tip-in in the final minute.
The undermanned Wolves damn near beat the best team in the West. Whew.
The Lakers play absolutely no defense, regardless of the opponent. Mercy!
